Our Trip to Scotland - Part 2, Gifts and Dunnottar Castle
Once our travel troubles were behind us and everyone was together, it was time to really start on those gifts. We had some last minute bits to buy (chocolates and flowers!) so we sent the boys out shopping. The groom, my moi hori and sat and started working on the hampers - arranging them and seeing how each one would look. There are so many ways to display gifts, and we wanted to be creative but efficient. Here's the photos of the thaals we made :)
Dunnottar Castle
We had a free day on Saturday, the day before the wedding, so we thought a lovely family hike to make the most of the day would be a fab idea. Dunnottar Castle was only about half an hour away, offered scenic views and beautiful coastlines, with a nice bit of history to go along with it. We had parked bang in the middle of either entrance (unbeknownst to us of course) and started happily walking in the direction that felt right (it was left, and the wrong side). However, we got walking and got to a secluded cliff top view, overlooking the town nearby. We then found the path that took us up to the Stonehaven War Memorial, which then directed us to Dunnottar.
